Carl Llewelyn - Registered Electrician and Electrical Inspector / Owner

Carl is responsible for overseeing the team and concentrates on customer service, project management and quoting.  He is also focusing on further growing the business. 

Carl still enjoys working 'on the tools' and getting out and about on the job sites.

In his spare time Carl likes to spend time with his wife and their two young children. He coaches the kids touch rugby and rugby teams, and enjoys playing indoor cricket, training for triathlons and fishing.  He follows rugby and cricket.

Luke qualified in 2009 as a registered electrician and is a very competent electrician.  Luke completed his entire apprenticeship with Auckland Wide Electrical and enjoys the wide scope of work carried out by the company.

Luke is a practical thinker and obtains satisfaction from seeing a job through from start to finish.  Luke is Carl's 2IC and in Carl's absence assists with the day-to-day running of the company. 

Having recently purchased a home in Pukekohe Luke is now looking at ways of expanding the company into the Franklin area.

A keen cricketer in his spare time Luke also likes playing touch rugby.

John has worked for Auckland Wide Electrical for over five years and has many years experience in the industry.  John can pretty much lend his hand to any electrical installation, repair or maintenance.

John is a very hard worker.  After taking a break in 2010 to spend a year teaching English in China, John is back with Auckland Wide Electrical in a part-time capacity.

Outside of work John loves tinkering in his garage and spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael has been working for Auckland Wide Electrical since the start of 2010. Im 2013 he passed his Trace Certificate and Regulations exams and in mid 1013 he completed his apprenticeship and became a Registered Electrician. Outside of work Michael enjoys sport, sport and more sport.  Especially rugby, touch rugby and going to the gym..



Tom Kirkbride - Registered Electrician

Tom joined Auckland Wide Electrical in March 2012, having come from the UK where he worked as a qualified electrician. Since arriving in NZ Tom has proved to be an excellent organiser and a technically competent electrician.  This is evidenced with him passing the NZ Regulations Examination and gaining NZ Registration as a Registered Electrician in September 2012.

Outside of work Tom enjoys playing golf and going to the gym.  He also enjoying a variety of watersports including waterskiing, jet skiing, fishing and boating.



 Alan Poulson- Apprentice Electrician

Alan joined the company in September 2012 as an apprentice, to assist with a large year-long apartment recladding contract.  On completion of this project Auckland Wide Electrical re-signed Alan on as an Adult Apprentice . Alan has now completed his registration.

Outside of work Alan enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, and driving his classic convertible sportscar.



Brent Hopkins - Apprentice Electrician

Brent joined the company at the end of his first year at teach as an apprentice.  Over the summer and for the first part of 2013 he worked full time with us on a large year-long apartment re-cladding contract.  Mid 2013 Brent returned to his studies three days a week (Level 2  Electrical) and worked part-time for us two days a week, and during the holidays. Brent is now working full time for the company and has almost completed his apprenticeship.







Melanie Llewelyn  - Owner / Office Manager

Melanie is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office and for month-end procedures and business accounting.  Together with Carl she is also focussed on strategic issues and growing the company.  Melanie and Carl have two children (Jamie - 9 and Amelia - 7) who keep her pretty busy as she juggles being a Mum and a business women.

Melanie actually has a Degree in Geography but since starting the business with Carl has completed many business courses including MYOB Payroll and Accounting, Business Planning, Advertising, Financial Management, Sales and Marketing.

In any spare time Melanie has she enjoys walking, swimming, "doing coffee" and hosting impromptu BBQs.  Melanie is an avid Rugby fan is currently the Secretary of the Beachlands Maraetai Rugby Football Club.
